In conjunction with The Paramount Theater in Charlottesville, WNRN will celebrate its 22nd Anniversary on Friday, January 11, 2019 with Dead Air – 22 Bands for 22 Bucks, a concert featuring bands from the Commonwealth and their unique version of a Grateful Dead tune.

Beginning at 7 p.m., the first band will take the stage, followed every 10 minutes by another band performing the music of the Grateful Dead. A co-production of The Paramount Theater and WNRN (both nonprofit organizations), Dead Air is intended to showcase the incredibly strong and vibrant independent music community spotlighted on the airwaves of WNRN and the stage of The Paramount Theater. Hosted on stage by WNRN on-air hosts like Marc and Ed of the Saturday morning Grateful Dead and Phriends show, the breaks between the bands will also highlight the nonprofits involved and some other special guests and surprises.
